This devised solo performance was a collaboration with the actress Julia Sosnovska and dealt with behaviour at the time of crisis - an image of reassembling oneself, reevaluating one’s identity and becoming aware of the masks you put on.

Whatever the actress does there is a large rectangle of light that switches at certain times behind her. There are also rectangles of various colours and sizes that determine different strategies the actress uses not to face the main issue.

We started to discuss the project before the pandemic, but soon themes of mortality, anxiety, isolation and reassessment of one’s life that featured in the performance became relevant in a new way.

Throughout the whole piece goes the leitmotif of the desert, an image that originally came from a memory of the actress.
